2012 Summer Kaju Picture Contest : Winners will be announced at our September 8th test! All entries are judged by our Black Belts so get ready to impress. Categories include: Most Unusual Place for Kaju, Best Use of Natural Landmarks, Most Creative Concept, and Best Use of Innocent Bystanders. Each category winner will be awarded a $50 Visa Gift Card! May 2011 Belt Testing : From the Little Dragons to the Kaju Adults, all Mesa and Gilbert students showed true Kaju fighting spirit. Thank you to Sifu Dolly for her beautiful Hula, MMA ladies for their high energy demo, Sisuk and Thomas for a great self defense demo, Sibak for his sword demo representing Professor Aunty Patrice and his brick breaking skills representing Grandmaster George Lim. Thanks also to Lim Kenpo black belts Sibak Joey and Sibak Keegan for being our special ukis for the day. We must not forget AZ Bulldog Bites for the fantastic Kajuaz Dogs. Mahalo to everyone for making this a fantastic event!

May 2011 Midnight Pretest : Andy received a call from Sigung on Thursday night at 11:00. Be at the dojo in 30 minutes! It is time for your pretest! 2 1/2 mile run, 30 minute Midnight Crosspit, and lots of material later, he finally completed his pretest at 2:00 in the morning. Thank you to all the students that came out in the middle of the night to support Andy in his journey to green belt! That is what makes Kaju AZ such a special place to be.

Black Belt Pre-Test #2 and Advanced Belt Pre-Test : What an inspirational evening! February 27th was our 2nd Black Belt Dry Run and Black Belt Candidate Linda George worked hard and demonstrated a lot of material! Advanced Belt Testers Jessica Blatnick, Andy Blatnick and Jenni Monroe started the evening with a 2.5 mile run and ended in a non-stop, action-packed self-defense circle. Including the little dragons (martial artists age 5 to 8) and the new junior orange belts. Simou Jen's Black Belt Test 2006 : A very special North American Kajukenbo Black Belt Extravaganza aboard the Disney Cruise ship Magic September 25th, 2006. Simou's test began with a 5-mile walk around the ship at 5 am (2 am AZ time). After the test, the entire NAK team celebrated at the character breakfast.
